IHA Announces Major Events This Fall

The Hong Kong, China Inline Hockey Association announced it’s major events calendar following it’s July executive committee meeting.Inline hockey enthusiasts should take note of the following:

1. Referee Course

There will be a 6-hour course on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, September 4 and 5, 2004 at the YMCA King’s Park Centenary Centre rink.Those interested should contact Ross Parker at ross@ymcahk.org.hk for full details.

2. Coaching Certification Level 1

A 15-hour certification course for coaches will take place over the weekend of September 10, 11 & 12.Again, those persons looking for this training and certification should contact Ross Parker for full details.

3. Rules Review

The IHA’s executive committee has been overseeing the review process for the Rules and Regulations of the Hong Kong, China Inline Hockey Association.This process is now in the final stages and the rules will be ready to post on the web site by September – in time for the new season!

4. Sanctioning of Annual Tournament and Leagues

The IHA will again sanction the 2004 version of the Hong Kong Inline Cup.This is the premier tournament in Asia and the IHA is proud to support it and oversee the officiating of the event.

Also, the IHA has committed to sanction the YMCA’s Youth Inline Hockey League and it’s Adult Inline Hockey League.The combined action of these two leagues will see about 30 teams competing in various age group and skill level divisions.
